Mom's Restaurant - Trenton
About This Spot
Stepping into Mom's Restaurant in Trenton feels like entering a welcoming extension of someone’s cherished home kitchen. The space hums with a steady flow of conversation and the clink of dishes, setting a rhythm that’s both lively and unhurried — perfect for settling into a morning or midday meal at your own pace. It’s the kind of place where locals pull up a chair to catch up with neighbors, where servers move attentively but never hurriedly, making room for those genuine moments that make dining feel personal and familiar.
Here, breakfast isn’t just a meal; it’s a chance to linger over comfort—the sort you find in generously stacked blueberry pancakes still warm from the griddle or in the gentle sweetness of French toast adorned with fresh fruit. The kind of dishes that invite conversation and casual smiles as they arrive at the table, signaling a small ritual of comfort and care. And while the menu extends well into heartier comforts through the afternoon, it’s that buttery, crisp hashbrown or a piping hot omelet that feels like a quiet nod to tradition.
What sets Mom’s apart is the subtle embrace of community energy paired with a calm ease. Even on busy mornings, the flow remains smooth, the food consistently hot and satisfying, allowing guests to feel nourished not just by what’s on the plate but by the atmosphere itself. The unexpected presence of a full bar — including a well-loved mimosa offering — hints at a place ready to bridge times of day and types of company, whether it’s a family brunch or a casual toast among friends.
Conversations thread through the air as smoothly as the coffee, making it clear this is more than simply a meal stop; it’s a small celebration of those everyday gatherings that build a neighborhood's story. Whether you arrive early for the breakfast rush or just when you’re hungry for something familiar and warm, Mom’s Restaurant quietly promises a moment of ease, inviting you to settle in, share a meal, and savor the kind of hospitality that feels as if it’s been brewed right alongside the morning coffee.

I went to Mom's for breakfast around 9am on Friday. It was busy and the waitress was attentive right away. Food came out hot and quick. I got the Hungry man special, over easy eggs and extra crispy hashbrowns. The food was delicious and it was only $9 which isn't pricey nowadays for the amount of food you get. This is definitely a nice spot for breakfast. I will be back again.

Breakfast was pretty good. Hashbrowns were delicious. The fruit and yogurt bowl was great. I gave a 4 star instead of 5 because of the gravy. Tasted like from a can (Libby's, maybe?) and not powder mixed with water or milk, nor did it taste homemade. Party or 6, we waited about 15 minutes. Not bad for a busy Sunday morning. Yes, we will be back. There is an entrance door on the east and west sides of the building. Cleared tables pretty quick while we were finishing up. A little tight trying to come and go, but well worth it.

Never been to a diner with a full bar! We got there around 1230 and they told us the breakfast menu ended at 1130, but they brought the breakfast menu back just for us. Food came out so fast! Part of our group came late and they served them quickly too! Service was great!
